What is the Process of Detection?

Oklahoma Drug Searches

K9 University's private detection service is done by licensed, bonded personnel with our certified canines; we will discreetly search the required location, find the substance if present, and provide positive identification.

How to proceed and how it works varies with the type of location our dogs will be searching.

Confidential Drug Search and Detection Services

School Systems

After having our initial phone discussion, we will schedule a meeting with you and the proper members of your school administration, so that we may discuss a plan and a suitable schedule. It is important that we discuss and understand the contraband of search interest (i.e. alcohol, drugs, weapons, screening, etc.).

Once a written strategy is agreed upon, we will execute to the proposed plan. We prefer a single individual to contact for our searches, and prefer that it be kept confidential. Consistency with frequent confidential searches done on a random basis work best in detecting, locating, and identifying abusers.

We will arrive at the school grounds after announcing it to our contact, and proceed to follow the agreed plan. Some schools prefer to have a school employee present when performing the searches. Our Canine Detection Handler will start the search with our Detection Dog and go from area to area, until the full day's plan has been executed. If the dog picks up a scent, it will alert, and our handler will mark the spot.

When our K9 University detection dog locates contraband (or a gun), we will help identify the object. It is important to understand that a well-trained detection dog will also detect on residual scent (if it was recently moved).

We will NOT take drugs or guns found, as it is illegal for us to do so. We will seal it in an envelope that will be given to the school for disposal or action.

Commercial Locations

Consistency with frequent confidential searches done on a random basis work best in detecting, locating, and identifying abusers.

Residential Locations

After having our initial phone discussion, we will schedule a home visit when you've arranged to be home by yourself. We will search the premises when the suspected drug user is not present. This ensures that we have the ability to search without conflict. It will also reduce future family stress, since it maintains 100% discretion.

Our Canine Detection Handler will start the search with our Detection Dog and go from room to room through the entire locale or vehicle. If the dog picks up a scent, it will alert, and our handler will mark the spot.

If our K9 University detection dog locates contraband, we will help you to properly identify the chemical. It is important to understand that a well-trained detection dog will also detect on residual scent (if it was recently moved). We will then also provide a packet with drug help information that you can follow. This is a resource guide that will help you get the help required for your family.

We will NOT take drugs or guns found, as it is illegal for us to do so. We will seal it in an envelope that will be given to you for disposal. Clear instructions will be left with you as to how to properly dispose of the matter.

If your search needs require a person search or pet tracking, it is critical that we start as soon as possible, since tracks cool down, and the opportunity for a successful find diminishes drastically the longer you wait. Preservation of the search area is very important. Please call the number above to urgently engage us, and to receive critical coaching on properly preserving the target search area.

Canine sniffer dogs are a sound solution, as well as an effective deterrent for schools, companies and residences alike.

Call (405-532-3993) for a drug dog SEARCH; it is confidential, it is discreet, and it is very effective.
